Challenge Race-based competition where drivers must participate in a completed race to score an aggregate time. Only race sessions are counted and only if the driver completes all laps. Fastest aggregate time on all races on all tracks during race sessions only.

Hot lap Competitions

A hotlap event, is the simplest form of competition we run and is one in which the driver with the single fastest lap time on a given track (or sometimes tracks), is the winner. Hot Lap competitions are exhibitions of pure driving excellence and allow competitors to become submersed in the car and track, without the distractions of others on the track to steadily shave the fastest possible time.

Hot lap competitions are usually held in 'private qualifying' [link to private qualifying definition] this means that whilst many people may be on the same server as you at the same time , they will not appear on the track. This enables you to focus completely on the technical driving challenge ahead of you, rather than other drivers.

The best lap times always come when the car, tires and driver are all warmed up (hence the name "Hot lap' )and when the fuel load is light! so be sure and run a good few warm up laps before pushing for that new best time.

In Hot lap competitions, as with all our competitions, users are given unlimited tries to improve their time, until the competition closes.

Hot lap competitions are run both for free and prizes and typically last r2-3 weeks. This enables users sufficient time to learn the car and track and optimize their performance.

Challenge Competitions

- A challenge competition is like a mini racing season and involves 3 races with the same car. Each race is usually set up to last 5 laps and will also include practice, warm-up and qualifying sessions, just as in a real world race. However note the times in these sessions will not count towards your overall score, only that in the race session (however qualifying will of course count to your starting position on the grid, which may affect your time.

Challenge competitions have full grids and are all about race craft, the lap times seen in these competitions are typically slower than that seen in hot laps (assuming the car and track combination) as racers have to deal with all the added dimensions that come from competing live against other players.

In these events the winner is the driverwith the lowest cumulative time across all 3 races. For example, see below

Challenge competitions can be run for free or prizes and typically run for 2-3 weeks to enable users to learn the car and track combination.

Quick fire Race

A quick fire race is one in which a limited number of players , usually 6, jump into a single race and the result and prizes are paid out immediately after the race concludes. Typically these events consist of 5 minutes of practice and 5minutes of qualifying followed by a 5 lap race. In total they take no more than 25mins to complete, start to finish. Once completed the race will start again.
