rFactor missing sounds in-game

When joined to the desired race server sounds can't be heard:

This will most likely due to missing sounds from your gaming installation, please download and install the following:

The common causes of this are:

  • rFactor Lite game installation
  • A patched rFactor installation (from a previous version to 1.255)
  • A copy and paste installation (from a previous install backup)
  • Mods using sounds not included with previous versions of rFactor (see earlier note about patched rFactor installations)

Note that some mods may require an additional download for their sound pack although this is rare, if this is the case we will provide the same download with the 1-Click join process to our race servers, in the event that this isn't the case please let us know right away. If the mod in question was downloaded from a non Simraceway/rFactorCentral website you will need to visit the mod developers/distributors website for assistance.
